屯荃鐵路政府方案
隨著在鐵路發展策略2014中的洪水橋站與屯門南延線(屯門西站)的落實,西鐵線的擁擠問題將會更為惡化。事關現在西鐵線的飽和率已達 99 % ,所以如果政府真的興建洪水橋站與屯門南延線,恐怕會不勝負荷。於是,政府必須興建另外一條鐵路用作分流,那就是屯荃鐵路(普遍方案),可是政府在鐵路發展策略2014中擱置有關方案。
以下是政府在鐵路發展策略2014中提出的屯荃鐵路方案,以供大家參考。
According to Railway Development Strategy 2014, Hung Shui Kiu Station and Tuen Mun South Extension are implemented. However, after they would be built, West Rail Line will be more crowded than at present as its saturation rate is 99% already currently. Therefore, if government decides to build these projects in Railway Development Strategy 2014, West Rail Line may be overloaded. As a result, the government should build another railway to burden the increase passengers of West Rail Line and it is Tuen Mun to Tseun Wan Link. Nevertheless, it is rejected by government in the Railway Development Strategy 2014.
